Food is good. In fact, food is excellent. The hotel breakfast buffet is a mix of Western and Chinese, but all other meals have been Chinese. Flavors are more delicate and subtle -- and also more varied -- than in the US, and there are more vegetables. Every meal ends, thus far, with watermelon. All are served family style, with a lazy susan packed with dishes that just keep coming. Here's today's lunch:
And dinner, what with being in Beijing and all, was the most fabulous Peking duck ever, although Jeff still expresses great loyalty to Mark's House of Duck back home. But does Mark wear a silly hat?
