Just touched down in Beijing-Aaron

14 hour plane ride was actually OK, i was pretty occupied, thinking about life and watching movies, writing down thoughts, listening to the smooth Jazz channel(ohmygod its so bad) and bumpin my ipod.So in the B, me and Tom hit up a pool hall, a record store with cheap american and chinese music, (only bought chinese since I can get american anytime got A chilout CD and an underground rap CD) ate mystery food at a corner joint (turned out to be pork and chicken), got lost, got loster, and called a cab, getting home at like 130. Very friendly arond here, i didn't get any mean mugs. Its been warm, even at night. It's very different for the natives here, per capita income is 5G's (PCI counts kids and old people though) I feel even more lucky and priveleged than I do in the US. There's lots for shops whos roofs collapsed a long time ago, and lots of ditches for construction that's not happening. They've poured in almost as much bailout money as we have, totaling almost .7 TRILLION.

Overall, We walked through neighborhoods with tinytiny streets, (called Hua Tongs) got funny looks, got a LOT of love from locals wanting to speak english with us, and got shooed away by a few who thought the government was coming to get them. I would be too, if I lived through the cultural revolution. Its 7 in the morning, (UUUGGGHHH) we're visiting Tienamen square, the forbidden city, and the Summer Palace today. Much love and affection, be thankful today, our lives could be much more difficult.
